Scrap Laptops 10 for $100
In Stock
Schools, companies, and even individuals bring us laptops every day. We only refurbish the best. All the rest have been getting sold off as scrap. I looked at these yesterday as we were about to ship them off and thought, 'This is ridiculous!' Why don't we let our customers have a crack at these. So here you are. 10 laptops for $100. While they last.
What you will get is all the stuff we don't sell. Don't expect a perfectly working i5 laptop. There is a reason these were sent to the scrap pile. I see everything from Apple, HP, Acer, Dell, Lenovo, Chromebook, even Windows tablets, many have missing keys, cracked screens, or any other number of issues. There is real value here. Many of these could be parted out and sold on eBay for a profit. Some may work fine and need a hard drive and OS.
I don't see many AC adapters. If we have one with the laptop, you will get it; if we don't, you won't. Some of these have to have the hard drives destroyed. If we do that, we will include the hard drive caddy if at all possible. These are all sold as is. The shippers will pick them off the pallets in the order sold. Please don't make any special requests. We will try to send something somewhat modern but we can not guarantee the age of the laptop you will receive. You cannot come to the warehouse and pick through them, as that would not be fair to everyone else.
Good luck, and have fun!
Some great stuff. I have ordered Numerous lots of these scrap tops. It's one of my hobbies. Some are DEAD, and require much searching, learning, and clueless meandering to seek out a fix. If you have the patience and interest, it's a fantastic way to learn how to problem solve. Some have only needed power cords and a proper DC SUPPLY. SOME are outdated and may not be worth fixing. Some just need ram, or a hard drive. Remember you can buy a hard drive with Win10 already installed - on Ebay - very cheaply... And just one such a drive can be used on numerous machines to test and troubleshoot. A used replacement part can often be very cheap for a used machine. I Highly recommend these machines, and I bet you will too. And remember the parts you can scavenge from the lost causes. Go for it!
Best drunk purchase ever! Managed to get a perfectly working Toshiba and HP laptops after adding a HD and power supplies! Having another drink and ordering more! Thanks!!!
Got a perfectly working ASUS F555L with some cosmetic damage. That alone was worth the price.
Managed to restore two laptops out of four (I was lucky and they were almost intact). One had issues with hinges and keyboard, another was just dirty and good cleaning helped it. It was inconvenient that RAM modules and power bricks didn't exist - I had to buy some. In general, it is a lot of fun if you like playing with restoring electronics.
got two working units Toshiba laptop and a Samsung 700T with an awesome sound card with sound alive and equalize plus its i5 both worked fine then two others needed repair
I took a chance and purchased a batch of 4 laptops. Too my nice surprise the batch included a Surface Pro 4 with a cracked screen. This was the first one I worked on and turned out to be quicker than the Surface 7 I recently purchased. It was apparently dropped on the volume button causing windows to load only into the bios. A little straightening of the bezel and it boots correctly, followed by an OS reload and the screen even though cracked works perfectly. Now onto replacing the screen hopefully with no issues. The other 3 are awaiting power cords and 1 missing other parts. Two of which have been tested with a spare power cord and at least powers on. These are older and I will hopefully install a copy of Linux. I am not sure of the future of these laptops but the Surface alone was worth the investment.
